Cliff Booth Returns: Fincher Directs, Tarantino Writes, Pitt Stars

Hollywood’s favorite stuntman just clocked back in. Netflix has released the official trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, continuing Brad Pitt’s Oscar-winning turn from Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. The setup is simple and sharp: same Cliff, new decade. It is 1977, the town looks different, and David Fincher is behind the camera.

That last detail matters. Tarantino wrote the screenplay and holds the character DNA he fought to reclaim, but Fincher directing a Tarantino script is the pairing cinephiles screenshot for group chats. Expect precision framing and icy control filtered through Cliff’s laconic charm. The cast list reads like a prestige-streamer wishboard: Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and others join Pitt, who also produces with Ceán Chaffin.

Release strategy is hybrid 2026. The film gets an exclusive two-week IMAX run beginning Thanksgiving weekend (from November 25), then arrives on Netflix on December 23.
