As the fanmade mods have shown us, first-person GTA is a novelty, a fleeting distraction that you’ll use for five minutes, then realize that it was just better the old way. While the odds of a next-gen console release remain relatively slim it’s important to note that the move does make sense from a business perspective. Given the time taken to produce an expected PC port, Rockstar could certainly afford to put together a PS4/Xbox One upgrade at the same time.
