Today, Bethesda announced that its free-to-play collectible card game, The Elder Scrolls: Legends, which has been in beta on PC since last year, is finally officially launching today on the same platf
Borderlands Legends brings back the cast of the original Borderlands – Mordecai, Lilith, Brick and Roland – in a wave-based shooter. Missions are randomized, characters can be leveled up, and players will be able to take advantage of a “strategic cover system.” Conspicuously absent from the Legends ad is any mention of multiplayer, which is a huge part of Borderlands’ allure on conso
Randy Pitchford has been vocal about his desire for a PlayStation Vita version of Borderlands 2 . As it turns out, there is a portable version of Borderlands on the way – and soon – but it won’t be for Sony’s handheld, and it won’t be a port of Borderlands 2 . Instead, an all new game has been crafted for mobile platforms and tablets: Borderlands Legends , due before the end of the mo
But that’s not the only expansion being cooked up, as later in the press release Bethesda mentions it has “even bigger things on the horizon.” These bigger things will come in the form of a big expansion that will arrive early this summer and come packed with a huge new set Arena Of Valor esports cards, new mechanics and more. Bethesda has said more details will be shared at E3 2
It may be a mobile game, but this is still Borderlands , and that means one thing above all others: there will be lots and lots and lots of guns. The Legends ad promises “thousands of different weapons,” which is well short of the “bazillions of guns” touted by the Borderlands 2 launch trailer , but should be more than sufficient to get the job done. How those weapons are acquired, though, appears to be somewhat different than in the console games. The ad notes that players can “collect in-game cash by destroying enemies and purchase new weapons.” Does that mean that there won’t be any random loot drops or chests to scour? It might. It might also be a clue that that players can get right to the good stuff via in-app purcha
At this point, that should be enough to get players excited for the event and ready to start preparing. Stay tuned for more details as the actual start date approaches. Gauntlets are limited-time, in-game tournaments where you create a deck out of the cards in your collection and compete against other players to reach the top of the Gauntlet leaderboard. The conditions, prizes, and length of the Gauntlets changes month-to-month. More details on May features will arrive in the “coming mont
Additionally, Bethesda also announced a roadmap for the game’s release on other platforms, revealing that the card game will hit iPad on March 23rd, Android Tablets sometime in April, Mac sometime in May, and Mobile phones sometime in early summer. Bethesda further confirmed that all your information and decks will carry over from one device to anot
While not yet released, interested players may preregister on Google Play and the App Store, which promises that greater rewards will be released based on the greater number of people that register. It’s a vague claim, but registration is free so it doesn’t seem like a bad idea if this is something you’d be interested in. The battles will take place against players across the world in real time PvP, with popular characters such as Super Saiyan Goku, Piccolo, Pan, Nappa, Frieza, Vegeta and an all new character designed by Akira Toriyama.
The event is still a few days away, but thanks to some dedicated Harry Potter fans we and dataminers we already know which tasks are on the way to the mobile AR game and what sort of rewards players will be able to earn if they manage to complete everything before the weekend event comes to a conclusio
Trying to imagine carrying out the intricate controls most 2D fighters require for special moves and complex combos is mildly perplexing, but Dragon Ball Legends employs a more simplistic approach. The player is able to dodge attacks and move about the screen by the use of a virtual thumbstick on the touch screen and attack by tapping on different attack cards. It sounds a bit strange to use a card based system for something as frenetic as a Dragon Ball Z face off, but surprisingly this approach works quite well.
